(Part 1 of 6)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Your body&#8217;s structure is based on Protein<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Protein plays a key role in your body&#8217;s nutritional needs and helps your body repair muscle, grow tissue, regulate hormones, control metabolism, defend against illness, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Your ligaments, tendons, muscles, hair, nails, skin, teeth, tissue, organs, and bones are all made up of Protein.\u00a0 Protein is continually broken down in your body so the body needs daily replenishment, it cant be stored for later use like fat and carbs.<\/p>\n<p>The more active you are the faster your proteins break down and the more protein you need to replenish them.<\/p>\n<p>So the big question is how much do you need????????<\/p>\n<p>Individuals typically need 1 gram of protein daily for each kilogram of their body weight, for example, a 180 pound man would need at least 80 grams of protein a day, and a 140 pound women would need a minimum of 60 grams daily<\/p>\n<p>Simple forms of Protein are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Beef<\/li>\n<li>Chicken<\/li>\n<li>Fish<\/li>\n<li>Pork<\/li>\n<li>Eggs and Dairy<\/li>\n<li>Beans<\/li>\n<li>Nuts and Seeds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 5 other key factors\u00a0will be revealed in later posts.
